The Broad museum is a new contemporary art museum in downtown LA. The museum is primarily a showplace for the large collection the Broad Foundation has put together over the last couple decades. The building also includes a "vault" that stores the pieces that aren't on display or loan to other institutions.

The architecture of the museum is definitely a work of art in its own right. The honeycomb structure acts a shell entombing the self-supported three stories inside. The porous exterior provides the perfect ambient light in the gallery.

The Broad is in the center of the burgeoning arts district of Downtown LA. Across the street from both the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Museum of Contemporary Art, there is much to see and do.
